This article summarizes a research study that was begun in 1979 and ended recently. The researchers used people from Cincinnati who lived in areas that had high amounts of lead. They found that not only did lead have negative effects on the children, but those effects lasted until they were adults. People (especially boys) who had high levels of lead in their bodies had smaller brains and were more likely to have been arrested.
What do you think? Should all children be tested for lead poisoning? How can we reduce lead in our environment?

I think that people should make a divice that can clean lead out of food and iliminate the problem. If this happens then children wouldn't have to be tested for lead poision. This device could reduce the amount of lead in our enviorment and the amount of children and adults who have or had lead poisioning.

i think that the children should be tested so that way the parents can correct their behavior. you could reduce the amount of lead poisoning by replacing the old pipes in you house. nicole
i think they should have their kids tested just to keep them safe. i say before you paint something be 99.99% sure it has no lead in it
i agree about how they should create a machine that can do all that but that would take years to do half that stuff.
